Time Flies!

I honestly have no idea how it has already been 8 months. That is 2/3 of a year!

This has been an amazing journey. I am looking forward to the future and working to adapt both the store and myself to what it holds.

One thing coming together is making Reinvented Vintage a more community oriented space! We are starting to offer a new style of class, what I am calling “Make-And-Take.” These are classes that bring together local artists and community members. The artists lead a class in a afternoon (or morning!) of fun, laughter and learning.

Painted Antique French Furniture – Examples of The Art of Highlighting

Another great post by FrenchFinds!

Frenchfinds' Blog

French Antique Furniture

Over the years we have painted a lot of french antique furniture ourselves but have also matched bespoke requests. The term ‘highlighting’ is pretty  self-explanatory but for those of you that want to have gain an insight I would be happy to explain with some examples!

French Antique Furniture

What is Highlighting?

Highlighting is essentially the use of contrasting colours to bring out a feature, usually a carving or recess, on a piece of french antique furniture. It is generally used when one single solid colour makes a French antique piece of furniture appear too blocky.

New Store Update!!

Hi Folks!  Just wanted to give you all an update on the latest goings on over here at Reinvented Vintage……

Image

As many of you know, we are shutting down our studio location and moving to a more visible store front.   At the new store, we will still create custom furniture Reinventions and offer workshops on how to use our two lines of specialty furniture paints, Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint and Maison Blanche Paint Company products.

Image

We will also sell lots of painted furniture, vintage homewares and other recycled/repurposed items.  We’ve already got some really cute things in stock and are adding to our inventory everyday.

Our new location is the former Pinky Punky in Breckenridge Village!  We are Reinventing this iconic retail space that served generations of women for several decades.  It is the perfect spot for us — our workshops and custom furniture Reinventions will take place up in the loft, and our retail goods will be displayed on the ground level.

Renovations at the new location are underway so we will be closed until April 2.  When we reopen, we will be fully stocked and operational out of the Breckenridge Village location.

We know you will just love the creativity and affordability of the “new and improved” Reinvented Vintage.  Can’t wait to see you!
